Peaceful Springs Nature Preserve was founded on the belief that all living creatures have the right to be preserved and live without interference. All visitors will be required to read and sign a statement that they will follow all our Principles of Ethical Practices and Guidelines while on the Preserve, and hope that they will learn to incorporate these practices when they visit all wild places.
Principles of Ethical Practices and Guidelines

No living creature will
be harmed, captured, restrained, stressed or killed.
No plants will be cut, broken off, or dug up. Flowers are not to be picked.
Road kill will not be allowed to bait animals.
Feeding is only allowed
at one established location.
Learn the patterns of animal behavior, know and do not interfere with animals’
life cycles.
No nest, or burrows will be entered or physically touched. Only
long lens or remote cameras will be allowed for nest or den photography.
Use appropriate lenses to photograph wild animals — if an animal shows
stress, backup and use a longer lens.
Stay on approved trails to lessen impact.
Honor all minimum distance guidelines. Endangered bird species, have a minimum
distance of 50 feet for all nesting sights.
Recorded calls are only allowed during bird surveys with management approval. The use of calls
are will be documented to limit overuse. At no time will calls be used for photography or any other activities.
Treat all others, people, plants, animals and places with courteously.
Any visitor not following the Ethical Practices and Guidelines will be asked
to leave immediately, without a refund.
